| Upper Brook Street, Manchester, c.1910 looking in the direction of the city centre from High Street. The tram destination is Albert Square. The confectioners, Moores, on the corner of Autumn Street, immediately behind the horse, was still operating in the mid 1950s. Most of the area has since been demolished, and all that remains is the Blackstock Hotel, the high frontage of which can be seen just in front of the tramcar. |
